The Wimbledon queue, Wimbledon Park, 4 July 2023

Folks in good spirits, sporting handmade hats, singing songs, having picnics or else chilling out in their tents as the daylight fades, there’s a sense of festival comradery in the air as they participate in a Wimbledon tradition which invites many from far and wide to queue and even camp overnight in Wimbledon Park queue until 9:30am, when a selection of tickets for that day become available on a first-come-first-served basis.
