"Photography is another sense and my camera simply an extra limb."
As a photojournalist; I go in search of people, places and experiences: Immersing in a vast array of cultures and communities. In my personal work I explore themes of injustice, childhood, culture, and human detriment, reflecting on the world around me; photographically documenting spaces and their occupants.
With work featured in The Financial Times, The Independent and BBC, online and in many print publications regional and global, my experience is wide and varied. I work in-house, freelance and still enjoy working with small businesses to provide bespoke imagery for many platforms and outlets.
Shortlisted for the first Rebecca Vassie Memorial award, I particularly thrive in capturing documentary photography and news images, I currently hold a position at the Independent and Evening Standard.
I’ve had the pleasure of working over five years as the Photography Director at the Point O’ Pines in upstate New York. In London, I’ve enjoyed roles in the charity sector. As an Image Editor and Photography Producer for the UK largest charity for girls and young women, I found particular flare for establishing and managing digital assets libraries. I have a methodical approach to cataloging, experience in all types of digital media migration, creating robust, adaptable and efficient workflows. Continuing in the private sector as a Global Digital Asset Manager; working across e-commerce, marketing and creative, I’ve traveled worldwide to implement processes, develop and deliver training. I continue my work now as Distribution and Library Executive for ESI media and by private commission.
